End of season news

Thank you again for making this year a happy and satisfying year. It was so lovely to see old friends , never a dull moment!!!

Great to meet new customers and friends, looking forward to seeing them again in 2015. Fantastic weather kept the horses busy, and bumper crops all round. Never seen so many kids in the WiFi room checking mail etc…..how times have changed!

Wakestock 2014

Happy Santes Dwynwen with Welsh potatoes

Dydd Santes Dwynwen (Welsh for St Dwynwen’s Day) is considered to be the Welsh equivalent to Valentine’s Day and is celebrated on 25 January every year. It celebrates Dwynwen: she is the Welsh saint of love.

Winter and spring at Afonwen

Dates for your diary include:

January 25th: Santes Dwynwen weekend, the Welsh Saint for lovers.

January 27th – 31st: FUW (FARMERS UNION OF WALES) Welsh farm breakfast.

Throughout January: Plenty of pool parties have been booked but there is still room for more! Lots of new gym memberships have been taken out as everyone seeks to improve their fitness after the Christmas break!

January into February: Snowdrops and daffodils in bloom.

February: Half term school holidays are upon us. Lambs due at Afonwen.

March 1st: Spend St Davids Day on the farm for the weekend.

March 30th: Mothers Day. Treat your mum to a special weekend at the farm.

Easter Holidays: We still have some dates available so call us now to book!

The RSPB have counted 22,000 Starlings in the reed beds by our lake.
